Discontinuation of HNGRY & HNGRYnsite
How long can I keep using the app?
You can use HNGRY as usual until March 31, 2025. After this date, all services will no longer be available. Please make sure to transfer your current shopping list(s) to your prefered app of choice.
Why is the HNGRY app being discontinued?
After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue HNGRY as of March 31, 2025 and focus on a different strategy.
Which app should I use now?
While we haven’t found a perfect replacement for HNGRY yet, we can recommend to explore our free articles on food storage, recipes and wine in our FreshMAG magazine. There, you’ll also discover numerous helpful storage tips, similar to what you already know from HNGRY.
What happens to my xtraHNGRY subscription?
You can cancel your xtraHNGRY subscription at any time. Alternatively, your subscription will remain active until March 31, 2025. After this date, your subscription will automatically end.
How can I cancel my subscription?
To cancel your xtraHNGRY subscription, please go to the settings of your app store.
Will xtraHNGRY subscribers receive a refund?
If you have an annual subscription, we will automatically refund you the prorated amount for the period after March 31, 2025. The refund will be processed to your original payment method.
Monthly subscriptions will continue as usual until March 31, 2025, and will end automatically after this date. There will be no refunds for monthly subscriptions, as no further charges will occur.
Can I continue using my HNGRYnsite?
Unfortunately, no – the HNGRYnsite was specifically designed for HNGRY and only works in connection with our app. With the discontinuation of HNGRY, the service will also come to an end.
Can I get a refund for my camera?
Yes, if you have purchased your HNGRYnsite in the Liebherr webshop, you will automatically receive a full refund to your original payment method. The refund process will begin after the discontinuation of HNGRY and may take up to 4 weeks.

If you purchased your HNGRYnsite directly from a retailer, please contact the retailer. You will receive a refund there.
What should I do with my old camera?
Your HNGRYnsite camera must be disposed of properly according to local regulations. In accordance with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive and national regulations, the camera must not be disposed of with normal household waste. You have two options: 1. Self-disposal You can drop off your camera at a local recycling or waste collection point. Note: The HNGRYnsite camera contains a Lithium-ion battery (Li-Ion), which must be removed before disposal. What will happen to my data?
With the discontinuation of the HNGRY app, we, Liebherr-Hausgeräte GmbH, Memminger Straße 77-79, 88416 Ochsenhausen, Germany, will erase your personal data (hereinafter also referred to as ‘data’) after expiry of April 30, 2025. With reference to your personal data, you also have the right at any time to (i) access to the data concerned, (ii) rectification of inaccurate data and completion of incomplete data (iii) erasure of the data, in particular if they are no longer necessary for the above-mentioned purpose and there is no other legal basis for the processing, your data have been processed unlawfully or you have objected to the processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing, (iv) restriction of the processing of your data, in particular if the accuracy of the data is disputed by you or the processing of your data is unlawful and you request the restriction of use instead of erasure (v) and the right to receive your data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transmit your data to another controller. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. My account
What are the requirements for my password to sign up via my email address?
- Your password must contain at least eight characters.
- You must use two types of characters, i.e. your password must contain at least one number and at least one lowercase and one uppercase letter.
- Your password must be different from your first and last name.
I forgot my password (login with email address)
Below “Sign up with email” you will find the option “Forgot password”. Enter your registered email address, we will send you a link to your email account to reset your password and then you can create a new password in the app.
How do I change my password?
- Login via Google or Facebook: Unfortunately, this is not possible in the HNGRY app. If you want to change the password of your Google or Facebook login, you have to change it directly in the respective platform.
- Login with your e-mail address: Currently, you can only change it by clicking on the ‘Forgot password’ button when logging in to HNGRY. You will then receive an e-mail to your registered e-mail address from us, you can reset the current password and then assign a new one.
I have a new e-mail address
- If you have a new e-mail address, please change it directly in your Google or Facebook account. You can then log in with your new e-mail address and no data will be lost.
- Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to change your e-mail address for the HNGRY login.
I have a new phone and want to access my shopping lists again
This is no problem with HNGRY. You can access your HNGRY account from any device. Your shopping lists are always available.
How can I delete my account?
To delete your account, go to ‘Info / Settings’ under Settings. Here you will find the option ‘Delete account’ at the bottom. If you no longer have the option to delete your account yourself in the app, please complete the questions in the email template carefully and send us your deletion request to feedback@iamhngry.com.
Please check in advance whether you still have an active xtraHNGRY subscription. To manage or cancel your subscription, go to your store settings, unfortunately we cannot do this for you.
How can I change my name in the app?
Unfortunately, this is not possible in the app. However, if you change your name in your Google or Facebook account, it will also appear in your HNGRY account.
How do I change the language in the app?
If you want to use a different language in your HNGRY account, you will need to change your phone settings. HNGRY adopts the language settings directly from your phone.
How can I change my account?
To change your account, you need to create a new account. If you have multiple accounts, you can log in from wherever you want.
Managing my shopping lists
How do I navigate to the shopping list?
You can access your shopping list via the navigation bar at the bottom. Just tap on the shopping list icon on the left. As soon as you have created your first list, you can see your products here in the overview.
How do I create a list?
The first time you open the app, you have the option of creating a new list. If you want to create further lists, you can do this via the navigation icon in the upper left corner by selecting “Add new shopping list”. Note: Do not forget to save it! The new list is then also available in the navigation bar.
How do I change the name of a list?
You have two options for changing the name of a list: Either by clicking on the name or by opening the navigation bar and tapping the pen next to the respective list. You can change the name of your list here. Don’t forget to save it after you’ve changed the name!
How can I delete a list?
By opening the navigation bar and tapping on the pen of the respective list you can edit and also delete the list.
How can I save and reuse a list?
If you have created a list and saved it, you can always find it again via the navigation icon in the overview. All products you have edited in the list will also be saved and are available the next time you open the list.
How can I change the order of the categories?
You can change the order of the categories under the sort icon in the upper right corner. By clicking on the pencil icon next to “By category” you can change the order of the categories.
How can I delete a category?
I’m afraid that’s not possible. To make the app as convenient to use as possible, categories will not be displayed until you add or purchase a product in that category.
Where do the recommendations in the search come from?
Based on your previous purchases, we suggest the products that you will probably need again. This should make your shopping planning easier.
Using my shopping lists
How do I add a product to the list?
If you are in a shopping list, you can enter products in the search bar at the top. You can add a product by tapping. When the product is added to the list, a short confirmation will appear on the screen.
How do I create my own product?
If a product you want is not yet available as a term, you can create it as you wish. Simply enter the desired product into the search field; it will appear exactly as written. Now you can add it as usual by tapping on the plus icon. Products created by you are marked with a shopping bag symbol.
How do I delete a product from the list?
If you want to delete a product from the list, just swipe to the left on the product. This works for all products in your shopping list, whether already purchased or not.
How do I add the same product twice?
I’m afraid that’s not possible. However, you can use the detail function of a product to adjust the quantity if you want to buy more.
How do I mark a product as purchased?
Once you have purchased a product from your shopping list, just tap it briefly. The product then disappears from your shopping list and appears crossed out under “Bought products”. If you don’t want to see them any more, you can hide your purchased products by tapping on “Hide bought products”. Of course, you can always show them again at any time.
How can I delete a product I have already purchased?
If you want to delete a product from the list, just swipe to the left on the product. This works for all products in your shopping list, whether already purchased or not.
How do I add quantities and product details?
Use the detail function next to the products on your list to specify quantities, select the appropriate unit and add notes or product details. Or you can enter the quantity directly in the search (e.g. 1kg dark chocolate). These details will then be displayed in the shopping list next to the product. Of course you can edit or delete the details at any time.
Can I record prices and places of purchase?
There is no separate field for prices and places of purchase. However, you can add notes of your choice using the detail function. Just write prices and places of purchase in the notes. These will be displayed in the shopping list next to the product.
How do I sort the products in my list?
Use the sorting icon at the top right in the shopping list to select your preferred type of product sorting. You can sort them by most recently added product at the top or bottom or by category.
How do I copy or move a product to another list?
I’m afraid that’s not possible. However, you can of course add the same products to all your lists.
How do I move a product to another category?
Unfortunately, this is not possible. To simplify the use, the products are automatically assigned to the respective category.
How do I add products to my list using voice command?
To add products using voice command, you can use the voice command on your keyboard. If this doesn’t work, please check your keyboard settings to see if you have activated voice command and granted all the necessary permissions.
Why doesn’t a product exist in HNGRY?
The HNGRY product catalogue is intended to cover the most popular products. However, you can add unusual products as your own products. Simply enter the desired product into the search field; it will appear exactly as written. Now you can add it as usual by tapping on the plus icon. Products created by you are marked with the shopping bag symbol.
Sharing my shopping lists
How can I share my list?
Use the sharing icon at the top right in your shopping list to share your list with friends or family. If you tap on the icon, a selection opens where you can decide how and with whom you want to share your list. The recipients will then receive a generated link and can access your list.
How do I send a list by e-mail or SMS?
If you click on the sharing icon, a selection will open where you can decide how you want to share your list. You can also select SMS or e-mail here.
How can I remove a list participant?
By opening the navigation bar and tapping on the pencil of the respective list, you can edit it. Here you can also see all the people you have shared your list with. Simply click on the bin icon next to the participant you want to remove and then click save.
How do I stop sharing a list?
You can edit lists by opening the navigation bar and tapping the pen next to the respective list. You can also see all the participants you have shared your list with here. Simply remove all participants using the recycling bin symbol and then click save.
I have been invited to a list. What happens now?
When you have received an invitation to a list, the link will take you directly to your friend’s list. If you haven’t installed the HNGRY app yet, the link will take you directly to the Playstore or Appstore, where you can install the app. Then the link will also take you to your friend’s list.
Statistics
Where can I find my statistics?
You can find your shopping statistics in your shopping list, on the right above the products you have bought.
What do the statistics mean?
Your statistics are intended to give you an overview of which categories you buy the most products from. For example, this can help you plan your next purchase better or organise your diet.
Can I disable the statistics?
I’m afraid that’s not possible.
Where do the data used to compile the statistics come from?
The statistics are based exclusively on the products on your shopping list that you have marked as purchased. No further data are used to compile the statistics.
Why aren’t any statistics displayed?
In order to view statistics about your purchases, you must first purchase a few products from your shopping list. If no display appears here, check your shopping list and see if you have already marked products as purchased.
Food storage
Why is nothing displayed in my pantry?
To be able to see something in your pantry, you must first purchase a few items from your shopping list. If no display appears here, check your shopping list and see if you have already marked products as purchased.
I can´t see all my bought products in the storage,why?
Once you are an xtraHNGRY user, you have an overview of your entire stock.
How can I change the storage location and expiry date?
Once you are an xtraHNGRY user, you can change the storage location and expiry date individually. In the product details you can select your desired storage location and change the expiry date.
How is it possible to add products from storage to my shopping list?
Once you are an xtraHNGRY user, you can add products from storage to your shopping list at any time. As long as you are not yet an xtraHNGRY user, you have the possibility to test the feature 5x times for free.
Why are my expired products disappeared?
Your expired products will be automatically removed at the selected time period. In the sorage settings you can choose a period (between 1,2,7,14,30,60 days) per storage compartment when expired products should be removed
My storage locations changed, can I edit them?
You can change our storage locations at any time in the storage settings.
Problems using the app
I have problems logging in
Perhaps you currently don’t have internet access ? Check your internet connection and try to log in again.
Products are not being added to the list
If a product is not added to the list even though you tap on it, it is already on your list. You can tell if a product is already on your list by the icon next to the product name. If you see a check mark there, you have already added the product. The following message will appear: This product is already on your list.
My invitation to share a list did not arrive
When sending over the Internet, please check your Internet connection. If further attempts still don’t work, choose another way of sharing, such as SMS.
My keyboard is no longer displayed
In order simplify operation, the app hides the keyboard from time to time. To display the keyboard again, simply tap on a text field.
Is there a troubleshooting guide?
Currently there is no troubleshooting guide. If you have a problem, please send us a short description and the bug report. You can find the bug report in the HNGRY App by tapping “Send Bug Report” under Settings.
xtraHNGRY
I share my list with several people, do we all have to subscribe to xtraHNGRY to use all the features?
Yes. Only those who have subscribed to xtraHNGRY with their own registered account are able to use all the features.
I subscribed to xtraHNGRY but the xtraHNGRY features are not unlocked, why?
Please check if you are logged in with the same account you subscribed to xtraHNGRY.
How can I cancel my xtraHNGRY subscription?
If you want to cancel your xtraHNGRY subscription, please go to the settings of your store. Unfortunately, we are not able to do this for you.
How long is my xtraHNGRY subscription valid?
You can check your subscription at any time in the HNGRY app settings by tapping on”xtraHNGRY subscription” or in the device settings under “Subscriptions”.
Miscellaneous
How can I create my own categories?
Unfortunately this is not possible. If you are missing a category or you wish something else, you are welcome to contact us at feedback@iamhngry.com. This will help us to improve the app.
Can I use HNGRY on multiple devices?
You can access your HNGRY account from any device. Your shopping lists are always available.
Can I use HNGRY offline, i.e. without an Internet connection?
You can use almost all functions even without an Internet connection, so there is nothing to stop you from shopping in supermarkets. Only the sharing of a shopping list is not possible.
Can I use HNGRY on Samsung Gear?
Unfortunately, this is not yet possible, but we plan to offer it in the future.
Which operating systems does the app support?
Currently, we support the iOS and Android operating systems.
How do I enable/disable notifications?
You can turn notifications on or off by allowing or denying access to your phone.
Where can I read the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy?
You can read our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy at any time in the settings.

What does HNGRY mean?
Thanks for asking. We have deliberately omitted the vowel, as each user may decide for himself whether he is currently “hungry” or “hangry”. So it’s up to you how the app may be called! We look forward to get comments on this on our social media channels.
